Asia Partnership on Emerging Infectious Disease Research (APEIR) is a network of Asian researchers, government institutions and academia that aims to strengthen regional research capacity on Emerging Infectious Disease.
First established in 2006, we are interested in recruiting a highly motivated and talented Research Assistant to be part of research team involved in the study of Digital event information and data collection at community level in cross border areas. The research aims to:
- Identify and share the current collection of human and animal health events and data from cross-border communities in different pilot projects, the platforms they use, and how they respond to local health needs.
- Identify how to further empower cross-border communities and enhance cross-border health security by improving information collection via these platforms, and test their potential in different cross-border areas.
- Identify how these pilot data-sharing projects could be scaled-up and replicated across other regions of the world.
Scope of work:
- Conduct literature reviews
- Collect and analyze data
- Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
- Prepare interview questions
- Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
- Summarize interviews
- Provide ready access to all experimental data for supervisor
- Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
- Manage and respond to project related email
- Prepare, maintain, and update website materials
- Attend project meetings
- Attend area seminars and other meetings as necessary
- Summarize project results
- Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency
- Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
- Summarize meeting notes
- Coordinating with finance and administrative division regarding financial budget plan and report related to project activities
Requirements:
- Minimum master degree in health, or related disciplines
- Must be familiar with the handling of statistic data and software
- English proficiency is a must
- Possess good communication and basic computer skills
