Position Title: Data Enumerator for Study in Jakarta


Project : HIV Testing and Health Seeking Behavior of Patients who seek to have HIV Testing and patients on ART at 10 Health Facilities in Jakarta



Consultancy period: August 2018 – November 2018, total 50 days



Consultancy Summary:

The Data Collector for study on Testing Research* will work with the Co-Principle Investigators to collect data of this particular research in a systematic, standard, and timely manner. He/she will refer the data collection method is in accordance to the protocol. Hence, he/she will coordinate with Team Lead on the local arrangement for logistics and other administrative matters. He/she is to report their daily activities and data obtained to the Team Lead, and consult any backstopping to Co-PIs.



This study explores health seeking behavior and testing experiences and its psychological processes.



Responsibilities:

Collect the data as per protocol
Coordinate with Team Lead and Co-PIs
Work with Co-PIs and other relevant staff throughout the research process including: protocol and data collection tool development, data collection, data storage and transfer, data cleaning, and data collection report writing.
Work closely with assigned team members to ensure activities are implemented per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Consult problem solving and resolution efforts to include management of risk, contingencies and issue resolution.
Possesses knowledge of and remains compliant with local, international and United States Government requirements and other related regulations regarding confidentiality and ethical issues of research subject data.
Meet the study timelines, costs, and quality metrics.
Serves as the liaison with internal and external partners to ensure effective collaboration efforts.
·       Participate in team coordination meeting (face to face or via phone calls) as per necessity.

Deliverables:

·       Prepare, and submit data collection notes, records and recording

·       Attend and co-facilitate data collection process

·       Coordinate data collection, management and transfer

·       Participate in data analysis, report and manuscript writing as requested



Education:

A Bachelor degree and/or Equivalent in Public Health, Anthropology or another social science and at least 2 years of research experience in the field.
Local language preferred


Experience:

Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research studies – especially in data collection.
Experience conducting in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and/or other ethnographic and participatory research methods.
Must be responsive, detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills as this position requires constant interaction with different team members, stakeholders and reporting to organizational partners.
Familiarity with research ethics including: conducting informed consent, ensuring study participants rights and privacy are maintained and obtaining IRB approvals for research studies.
Familiarity with HIV and sexual and reproductive health issues, including working with people living with HIV preferred..
Fluency in Speaking and writing in Bahasa Indonesia.
Has experience working on research projects where tight datelines had to be met.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, analytical software, skype and other technology required.
Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion.


Travel Requirements:

This position will be based in Jakarta and will travel to different health facilities as assigned.
